Military Rescues Kidnap Victim in Katsina, Search Underway for Family Members


Troops conducting counter-banditry operations in the Matazu forest area of Katsina State have successfully rescued a man who had been held captive by suspected bandits.

According to available information, the victim was freed during a military operation targeting criminal hideouts in the forest. Efforts are now underway to trace and reunite him with his relatives, whose whereabouts are currently unknown.

The successful rescue highlights the ongoing military operations aimed at dismantling bandit camps and securing communities across Katsina State. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the rescued victim but have assured that every effort is being made to locate his family and ensure his safe reunion with them.

Security operations against armed criminal groups continue in the region as troops intensify efforts to rescue kidnapped victims and restore peace in affected communities.
