Former Kano Governor Shekarau Declares APC Best Choice for Kano Ahead of 2027 Elections
Former Governor of Kano State, Senator Ibrahim Shekarau, has declared that supporting the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections is the most appropriate political direction for the people of Kano State.
Shekarau made this statement while formally receiving his membership card of the APC in his hometown of Giginyu, Kano.
The former senator disclosed his position during a visit by the Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, who accompanied him to his ward to complete the official process of registering as a member of the ruling party.
According to Shekarau, the decision to align with the APC was taken after careful consideration of the political future of Kano and the need to ensure stability, development, and effective representation for the people.
He emphasized that the 2027 elections would be a critical turning point for Kano State and urged residents and political stakeholders to support the APC as the platform capable of delivering progress and good governance.
Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, who was present at the event, commended Shekarau for his political experience and leadership, describing his return to the APC as a significant development in Kano’s political landscape.
