2027: APC Risks Defeat in Kano If Kwankwaso Retains Influence — Party Chieftain Warns
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alwan Hassan, has warned that the party may face defeat in Kano State during the 2027 elections if former governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso continues to dominate the state’s political scene.
Speaking in an interview with TheCable, Hassan emphasized that Kano is crucial to the APC’s electoral success due to its large voting population, noting that the party could secure about 3.5 million votes if it wins the state with the support of influential politicians.
He stressed that a victory for Kwankwaso in Kano would place the APC at a serious disadvantage, highlighting growing concerns within the party as preparations for the 2027 general elections gradually intensify.
