Iran Can Sustain War for 4–5 Years, President Pezeshkian Warns as Tensions Rise in Middle East

Iranian leader says Tehran could launch up to 200 missiles daily and vows to push out US military presence from the region

President Masoud Pezeshkian has declared that Iran possesses enough military capability to sustain a prolonged conflict for up to five years, escalating rhetoric amid rising tensions in the Middle East.

Speaking about the ongoing regional crisis, Pezeshkian said Iran has the capacity to launch between 150 and 200 missiles per day, a rate he claimed could be maintained continuously for four to five years if the war persists. According to him, Tehran’s military stockpile and preparedness would allow the country to withstand a long-term confrontation.

The Iranian president also warned about the wider consequences of a prolonged war in the region. He suggested that while the impact on the United States remains uncertain, many Arab nations could face severe economic and social devastation if hostilities continue for several years.

“I do not know what will happen to America if the war continues for five years,” Pezeshkian reportedly said, adding that several Arab countries could be pushed into extreme hardship if the conflict drags on.

In a strong message directed at Washington, the Iranian leader also declared that Tehran would no longer tolerate the presence of US military bases in the Middle East, signaling a tougher regional stance by the Iranian government.

Pezeshkian further emphasized that Iran is paying close attention to the role of Arab states in the conflict, suggesting that regional dynamics have become more critical to Tehran than direct confrontation with the United States.

The comments come at a time of heightened geopolitical tension in West Asia, with analysts warning that continued escalation could draw more countries into the crisis and destabilize the region further.

Observers say Iran’s statements reflect a strategy aimed at demonstrating military resilience while sending a strong warning to its adversaries and neighboring states.
