Dauda Lawal Approves Law School Registration Fees for 25 Zamfara Students

Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, has approved the payment of registration fees for twenty-five (25) indigene students of the state who will attend the Nigerian Law School for the 2024/2025 academic session.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Executive Secretary of the Zamfara State Scholarship Board, Rasheedah Liman. She explained that the initiative forms part of the state government’s efforts to promote access to quality education and support students striving to achieve their ambition of becoming legal practitioners.

According to the statement, the state government took the step to ease the financial burden on the students and their families, while ensuring that financial constraints do not prevent talented young people from pursuing professional training in the legal field.

The board further noted that the beneficiaries were selected based on established criteria designed to ensure fairness, transparency, and equal opportunity. It added that the support will significantly assist the students in completing the mandatory training required to qualify as professional lawyers.

Governor Lawal also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to expanding educational opportunities for young people, particularly those from less privileged backgrounds. The initiative, he said, is part of the government’s broader policy of developing human capital and empowering youths to contribute meaningfully to the development of the state.
