Court Sacks Kumbotso Council Chairman, Upholds Ali Musa Hardworker as Substantive Chairman


A High Court sitting in Courtroom No. 17 has removed Abdullahi Basaf from his position as Chairman of Kumbotso Local Government Area, of Kano state, affirming Ali Musa Hardworker as the duly recognized chairman.

The judgment was delivered by Justice Abdu Mai Wada Abubakar, who presided over the case that challenged the leadership of the local government council. 

In his ruling, the court nullified Basaf’s position and upheld the legitimacy of Ali Musa Hardworker’s claim to the chairmanship.

The decision is expected to have significant political implications within Kumbotso Local Government Area and the wider political landscape in Kano and envorons, as stakeholders react to the development.
