Abba Kabir Approves Early Payment of Salaries Ahead of Eid-el-Fitr

The government of Kano State has directed the immediate release of civil servants’ salaries to enable workers prepare comfortably for the upcoming Eid al-Fitr celebrations.

The announcement was made by the Acting Head of Service, Hajiya Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, who said the directive came from the state governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf.

According to Maimota, the governor ordered that the payment of March salaries be expedited so that civil servants across the state can make adequate preparations for the festive period.

She explained that the decision reflects the administration’s commitment to the welfare of workers and recognition of their contributions to the development of the state.

“The early payment of salaries demonstrates the Kano State Government’s concern for the well-being of its workforce and appreciation for their dedication to public service,” she said.

Maimota also urged government employees to make responsible use of the opportunity and continue to demonstrate diligence, discipline, and professionalism in the discharge of their duties.

The move is expected to bring relief and boost morale among thousands of public sector workers in the state as Muslims prepare to mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
