Roasted-Yam Vendor Stabbed to Death Over N200 in Kano Sub-urb

A tragic incident unfolded on Sunday night in the Medile Turba area, where a group of hoodlums fatally attacked a roasted-yam vendor, identified as Sulaiman, following a dispute over a mere N200.

According to eyewitnesses, the confrontation began as a minor argument between the deceased and a group of youths suspected of engaging in criminal activities. The disagreement reportedly escalated when one of the suspects drew a knife and stabbed Sulaiman, leading to severe bleeding that claimed his life at the scene.

Residents quickly gathered in shock and distress, expressing deep concern over the growing wave of violence and lawlessness that continues to unsettle the community and its environs.

Security operatives have since launched an investigation aimed at tracking down the perpetrators of the attack. Meanwhile, community members in Medile Turba are urging the authorities to intensify security measures to safeguard lives and property.

The late Sulaiman was widely known in the area as a hardworking roasted-yam seller striving to make an honest living before his life was abruptly cut short by this senseless act of violence.
