Oshiomhole Denies Viral Private Jet Foot-Massage Video, Calls It “Fake AI Fabrication”

Former Edo State Governor and Senator representing Edo North, Adams Oshiomhole, has dismissed as completely false a viral video purportedly showing him giving a foot massage to a woman onboard a private jet.

The short clip, which surfaced earlier this week on X, Instagram, and TikTok, quickly gained traction across social media, drawing widespread criticism and sparking heated public debate. Many Nigerians condemned what they considered a display of indulgence at a time of economic hardship, especially following recent comments attributed to the senator on the skyrocketing cost of food items.

Several online posts also identified the woman in the video as a South African lifestyle influencer and adult content creator, further intensifying discussions around conduct, privilege, and accountability among high-profile political figures.

However, in a sharp rebuttal issued on Wednesday, Senator Oshiomhole’s media office categorically denied that he had any connection to the video. The statement described the footage as a “poorly crafted and edited fake AI video” manufactured by individuals intent on tarnishing the former governor’s image.

According to the media team, the video contains noticeable technical distortions—particularly around the six-second mark of the roughly 30-second clip—indicating digital manipulation and artificial intelligence interference.

They further urged the public to disregard the content, describing it as a malicious attempt at blackmail.

As fake and AI-generated videos increasingly infiltrate the political landscape, analysts warn that such controversies may become more common, raising fresh concerns about misinformation, public trust, and digital ethics as Nigeria moves closer to future election cycles.
