How Missing Student, 20, Was Found Mutilated in Suspected Ritual Killing”
Authorities have confirmed that the young woman recently discovered dead in Eika-Adagu, along the Okene–Lokoja highway, is 20-year-old Suleiman Rahama Onono, a student of the Federal College of Education (FCE), Okene.
Rahama had been declared missing last week Saturday as she could not be reached through any communication channel. Her disappearance prompted widespread concern among her family, friends, and the FCE community, who had intensified efforts to locate her.
Her body was later found in the Camp 2 area of Eika-Adagu, gruesomely mutilated with her breasts and private parts removed, a detail that has fueled suspicions of ritual motives.
Eyewitnesses and the Camp 2 youth PRO described the discovery as deeply disturbing, noting the precision of the targeted body parts as indicative of ritual killings. This incident adds to a troubling rise in violent crimes in the area.
In recent weeks, two commercial motorcyclists were murdered and their motorcycles forcefully taken, further heightening fears among residents.
Police officers recovered Rahama’s remains and transferred them to the Okengwe General Hospital morgue for autopsy and preservation as investigations continue.
Meanwhile, the community remains on edge. Residents have renewed calls for stronger security measures, including improved surveillance and functional streetlights, to curb the increasing number of crimes committed under the cover of darkness.
