BREAKING: Terrorists Storm Kwara Community Again, Abduct Four in Midnight Raid
Kwara State, Nigeria — Panic has gripped the ancient town of Kakafu in Patigi Local Government Area after a gang of about ten armed terrorists launched a brutal attack in the early hours of Sunday, abducting four residents in yet another wave of insecurity sweeping across border communities.
According to eyewitnesses, the attackers invaded the community around 3:00 a.m., firing gunshots into the air to force residents out of their homes. The operation, described as swift and coordinated, lasted for over an hour as the terrorists whisked away their victims into the dense forest linking Kwara to Niger and Kogi states.
Local vigilantes who attempted to pursue the gang were overpowered due to the attackers' superior firepower and the difficult terrain that favored their escape.
Security operatives have since been deployed, and a search-and-rescue mission is currently underway.
The attack adds to growing concerns over the rising activities of kidnappers targeting rural communities in Kwara’s northern axis. Residents are calling on the state and federal governments to urgently strengthen security presence in the area before the situation deteriorates further.
Authorities have not yet released the identities of the kidnapped victims, but police say an official statement will follow pending ongoing investigations.
This is a developing story…
