Bayern Munich Declines Purchase Option, Nicolas Jackson Set to Return to Chelsea This Summer

German giants have officially notified Premier League side that they will not trigger the purchase option in the loan deal for Senegalese forward Nicolas Jackson, paving the way for his return to London at the end of the season.

The decision, confirmed on Wednesday, brings an early end to speculation surrounding Jackson’s long-term future in Germany. The 22-year-old, who joined Bayern on a temporary deal during the winter window, had been assessed by the club’s technical team as part of its ongoing offensive rebuild.

Despite flashes of promise, Bayern’s hierarchy has opted against making the move permanent, meaning the Senegal international will rejoin Chelsea in the summer as the Blues continue restructuring their attacking options.

Jackson’s return is expected to add further competition to Chelsea’s frontline ahead of next season, with the club already evaluating its squad following a challenging campaign.

More updates to follow as the summer transfer window approaches.
