Abba Kabir Sacks Buba Galadima in Sudden Power Shake-Up

Kano State – In a move to improve the governance and management of Kano State Polytechnic, Governor Abubakar Yusuf has approved the appointment of Alhaji Dr. Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulkadri, the Emir of Gaya, as the new chairman of Kano State polytechnic’s Governing Council. 

The decision follows the removal of Engineer Abubakar Galadima from the position, which was part of a broader restructuring effort in line with the Kano First Agenda. 

The tenure of the governing council is set for three years, but the governor emphasized that Galadima’s removal was necessary to ensure optimal performance at the institution. 

Governor Yusuf thanked Engineer Galadima for his contributions and services to the polytechnic during his tenure.

The United States has formally withdrawn from the World Health Organization (WHO), a move that strips the UN health agency of one of its largest financial contributors and marks a major shift in global health diplomacy.
