Governor Lawal Deploys Deputy Governor to Lead Delegation to Bukkuyum After Deadly Bandits’ Attack
Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara state, has directed the immediate deployment of a high-level delegation led by the Deputy Governor to convey condolences, provide support to affected families, and ensure prompt medical attention for victims following a deadly bandits’ attack in Bukkuyum Local Government Area of the state.
The directive came as the Governor expressed profound grief and deep sorrow over the tragic assault on several communities, which resulted in the loss of innocent lives and left many others injured.
In a statement issued on Sunday by his spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala Idris, Governor Lawal described the coordinated night attack on Bunkasau, Yar Galma, and Dogon Daji as a heartbreaking and senseless act of violence against defenceless citizens.
The Governor extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, noting that the government shares in their pain during what he described as a moment of immense loss and devastation for the affected communities.
He further reassured residents across Zamfara State that his administration remains fully committed to intensifying security efforts, safeguarding lives, and restoring lasting peace in all parts of the state.
Governor Lawal emphasized that the welfare and safety of citizens remain the government’s top priority, adding that authorities will continue working closely with security agencies and community leaders to prevent further attacks and strengthen protection for vulnerable communities.
