Governor Abba Refutes Betrayal Claims, Stands Firm on NNPP Exit


Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has attributted hid decision to exit from the Kwankwasiyya faction of the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP),  to significant challenges that could potentially derail his political path.

In his statement, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf expressed that he foresaw major obstacles within the Kwankwasiyya movement, describing them as a "massive stone" in his journey. He further advised that the movement should avoid unnecessary political maneuvers, and he chose to exit the faction, finding peace after joining the All Progressives Congress (APC) alongside his supporters.

The Governor also emphasized that his departure from the Kwankwasiyya system is now official. He referred to himself and his allies as individuals who were once part of that movement, thereby confirming his formal disassociation from the Kwankwasiyya faction.

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf also defended himself against allegations of betrayal, swearing an oath that he had not committed any wrongdoing in his political decisions.
