Video Shows 14-Year-Old Palestinian Boy Shot by Israeli Soldiers and Left to Bleed
The incident reportedly took place in the al‑Far’a refugee camp in the West Bank. Footage shows the boy, identified as Jad Jadallah, collapsing in a narrow alley after being shot, with soldiers forming a cordon around him instead of offering immediate medical assistance.
Eyewitnesses said ambulances were blocked for nearly 45 minutes, while the boy laid injured and helpless. Despite international humanitarian law requiring the wounded to receive urgent medical care, the soldiers allegedly refused to intervene.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) told the BBC that soldiers provided “initial medical treatment” after confirming the boy was unarmed, but refused to explain the nature of the treatment or the timing. The military also claimed the boy had thrown a rock at the soldiers, a claim disputed by the boy’s family and human rights groups.
After some time, the boy was taken in a military vehicle but died from his wounds. Shockingly, the Israeli military has not returned his body to his family, heightening tensions and drawing condemnation from international observers.
Human rights organizations have called the incident a violation of international law, citing the deliberate blocking of medical aid and the refusal to release the boy’s body. Many are demanding accountability and an independent investigation.
This video has ignited fresh debates about the treatment of Palestinian minors during military operations and the accountability of soldiers under international law.
“This is not just a tragedy for the family. It is a stark reminder of the human cost of prolonged conflict,” said one human rights advocate.
