Iran's Missile and Drone Attacks Rock Israel and U.S. Bases Across Gulf

Tehran, Iran – In a dramatic escalation of tensions in the Middle East, Iran has launched a wide-scale retaliation against Israel and U.S. military positions across the Gulf region following recent U.S.-Israel strikes on Iranian territory.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed that the operation, codenamed Operation Truthful Promise 4, targeted both military installations and strategic infrastructure, signaling Iran’s determination to respond forcefully. Iranian officials vowed that the campaign is ongoing and that further action is planned until perceived foreign aggressions cease.

According to initial reports, missiles and drones struck multiple locations, including U.S. bases in Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates, while air defenses in Israel were activated as alarms blared across major cities. The attacks mark one of the most significant escalations in the U.S.–Iran conflict in recent decades.

Local authorities in the Gulf region confirmed that interceptors successfully shot down several incoming missiles, though some explosions were reported near sensitive facilities, raising concerns over civilian safety and regional stability. Airspace over affected countries has been temporarily closed, leading airlines to reroute or suspend flights, creating further disruption to international travel.

Iranian media described the offensive as “a decisive response to foreign aggression”, with Revolutionary Guard commanders emphasizing that the strikes are part of a broader effort to protect national sovereignty and deter future attacks.

Analysts warn that the escalating conflict could destabilize the Gulf region, threaten global oil supplies, and complicate international diplomatic efforts aimed at resuming talks with Tehran. European and U.S. officials have urged restraint, calling for an immediate de-escalation to prevent a full-scale regional war.

As of now, the situation remains fluid, with new reports of missile launches, intercepted strikes, and air raid alerts coming in across multiple countries. The international community watches closely as Iran demonstrates its willingness to retaliate against what it perceives as foreign intervention in its territory.
